Jero has won an ERC – Starting Grant with the project “Constraints and Opportunities for Horizontal Gene Transfer” in which we will develop novel methods and concepts to obtain a better understanding of Horizontal Gene Transfer in bacteria. Hopefully, this will lead to a new predictive framework to predict the evolution and emergence of antibiotic resistant pathogens.
